- Underwater support work in port construction
From the outset, the immense projects to build Tanger Med I & II stated their ambition to be one of the largest container ports in the Mediterranean.
With long experience and a strong reputation for its know-how in harbour work, Hydrokarst worked on positioning the hydraulic leveller and monitored its progress, created key ways on four-side concrete caissons, carried out all underwater welding and core drilling required for construction.
To ensure the work rate remained high during critical phases, Hydrokarst teams operated around the clock, sometimes reaching 35 people at the same time for underwater operations, carried out at depths of up to 45 m below the surface.
